Yummy Palak Chicken / Spinach Chicken Curry / Chicken Saag Wala
Today I will share a chicken recipe that is Yummy Palak Chicken / Spinach Chicken Curry / Chicken Saag Wala, which is the very delightful recipe and easy to cook in very less time; of course, it is nutritious also. The name and cooking process differs from place to places like Palak murg, Palak chicken, spinach chicken, and chicken saag Wala, but the basic ingredients are the same. i.e. spinach/Palak and chicken.
Equipment used
- Blender
- Mixing bowl
- Fry pan/Kadai
- Spatula
Ingredients
- Chicken (cut in medium size)-500 gm
- Palak-500 gm
- Oil-2 tbsp
- Onion-1
- Garlic-8 cloves
- Ginger-1/2 inch
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tbsp
- Red chili powder-1/2 tbsp
- Roasted cumin powder-1/2 tbsp
- Bay leaf-1
- Cardamoms-2
- Cloves-7
- Cinnamon-1/2 inch stick
- Green chili-1
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander-2 tbsp
How to make Yummy Palak Chicken / Spinach Chicken Curry / Chicken Saag Wala
- Clean and wash the Palak, and cut into small sizes
- Take a blender jar and add onion, ginger, garlic and green chili
- Also add the spices .i.e. turmeric powder, red chili powder and roasted cumin powder
- Then make a fine paste
- Now clean and wash the chicken
- And add the paste into the chicken chunks
- Add salt and mix well the chicken chunks with the paste, and keep them for rest for 30 minutes
- Heat oil in a kadai, and add the bay leaf
- Now add cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms and sauté them for 15-20 seconds
- Add the marinated chicken chunks with the marinate, and mix well
- Stir them continuously for 5 minutes in high flame or till the raw smell of the spices goes off
- Now add the spinach
- Cover the lid, and allow them to cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.
- Open the lid after 5 minutes
- Mix them well, and again stir them for 3-4 minutes
- Now add 2 cups of water
- And again cover, and allow them to cook for3-4 minutes in medium flame
- Open the cover and mix them well
- Transfer them to a serving bowl, and serve hot with fried rice or paratha/roti.
