Ingredients
- Chicken-1/2 kg
- Ol/yam-300gm (cut into big cube pieces)
- Tomato-01
- Onion-02(medium size)
- Garlic-1/2 cup (approx 30-35 cloves)
- Ginger-1 inch
- Lemon juice-1 tsp
- Turmeric, cumin, coriander, and red chili powder-1 tsp each
- Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
how to make spicy ol chicken/Yum chicken
- Wash and marinate the chicken pieces with the card, ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, and lemon juice and keep it aside for one hour.
- Take a blender jar, add onion, ginger, and garlic, and make a smooth paste.
- Take a hard bottom pan or kadai, heat oil, and fry the ol/yam.
- Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook for 5 minutes.
- Now pour the paste into the chicken and keep on stirring it for 5 minutes then add all the spices i.e. turmeric, cumin, coriander, and red chili powder, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour water, add salt and cover the lid for 7-8 minutes.
- Open the lid, and check the salt and consistency of the gravy, it should be too runny.
- Switch off the flame, and add garam masala.
- Serve hot with roti or rice.
