How to make Rui posto/rohu with poppy seeds, It’s a very simple , having only three small steps. First make a smooth paste of poppy seeds(posto banta), and then in next step fry the fish and in third step add with poppy seeds paste(posto banta).In any posto /poppy seed dish we are using very little oil so anybody (patient of diabetic and heart)can have this dish.

Ingredients
Rohu fish chunk-04
Poppy seeds 3 tspoon
ginger paste 1 tspoon
turmeric powder-1/2 tspoon
Panch foron(mixed with 5 apices e.g Cumin, Brown Mustard, Fenugreek, Nigella and Fennel. 1/2 tsp)
onion 01(bigger size and chopped)
silted green chili-02
garam masala 1/2 teaspoon(optional)
How to make Rui posto/rohu with poppy seeds· First clean the fish and marinate with the help of turmeric powder and salt and keep aside for 20mins. · In a blender add posto, ginger and green chili to make a smooth paste. Now heat the oil in a kadai or hard bottomed pan and fry the fish till golden brown. |
· Next in this hot oil add panchphoron, then add onions after cracking sound comes and cook for two to three minutes.
· Now you can add the posto banta/poppy seed paste with little water and allow it to cook for two minutes. · Now slowly place the fish chunks one by one and let it cook for another two to three minutes. · Turn off the flame and serve hot with steam rice . |
