Marinate the fish roe with grated ginger, chopped onion, and green chilies, and make a batter with besan (gram flour), Rava/suji, & salt. Then fry them taking a small portion with the help of a spoon in oil in the shape of fritters, this is how to make Macher Dimer Bora. Ingredients
- Fish roe/macher dim/Fish egg-200 gm
- Onion-1(chopped)
- Ginger-1/2 inch grated
- Green chili-2 chopped
- Besan-1 cup
- Suji/Rava-1 tbsp
- Tomato -1/2 chopped
- Mustard oil-1 cup
- Salt
How to Make Macher Dimer Bora
In a mixing bowl take 1 tbsp suji
Add 1 cup gram flour/besan
Next, add ½ inch grated ginger
Add chopped onion. Green chili and tomato
Then add salt
Now add the Fish roe/macher dim/Fish eggs
And mix them well, The quality of the fritters depends on the batter, and how nicely you make them.
Heat 1 cup mustard oil in a pan/Kadai, in high flame
Now lower the flame to medium, and slowly with the help of a spoon take the small portion of the batter and drop in the hot well, one by one you drop, as much as the pan can accommodate.
After frying one side then turn it over to another side. It will take 3-4 minutes to fry one side. And fry them till they become crispy and their color changes to a golden brown.
Transfer them to a fritters napkin over a plate and serve hot with rice and dal.
