How to make jhinge borboti bata/smashed Indian Yard Long Bean and ridge gourd. Bengalis have some special, short cut but yummy, finger licking dishes those are bata/makha or bhate(mashed). We can’t control our taste buds by seeing alu sedho or alu makha or alu bhate(mashed potatoes) likewise kochu sedho,jhinge makha,borboti sedho and so on. Lastly it is delicious, very simple and healthy recipe.

Ingredients
Ridge gourd (jhinge/torui)- 01 bigger size
Indian yard long bean (borboti/lobia)-100 gm
Garlic-5-6 cloves
Amra/Hog plum-1/4(for sour taste)
Green chili-02
Mustard oil-01 tea spoon
Salt to taste
How to make jhinge borboti bata/smashed Indian Yard Long Bean and ridge gourd
First wash the ridge gourd and Indian yard long bean.
Take a pressure cooker and add both the veggies and go for one whistle.
Let the pressure release and allow it to cool in room temperature.
In a blender add the boiled veggies, raw garlic, green chillis hog plum, salt and mustard oil and make a smooth green paste.
Take it out from blender and serve with steam rice and dal.
