Ingredients to make Gud Chana
- Chana/Chickpea-250 gm
- Gud/jaggery-250 gm
- Black salt -1 tbsp
- Peppercorn powder-1 tbsp
How to Make Healthy Gud Chana/Jaggery with chickpea
Take 250gm roasted chana/chickpea without skin from the market
Take gud/jaggery
In a big Kadai add ½ cup of water and add the jaggery to melt
After 3-4 minutes it starts boiling, and stir it continuously
Now the foam with some impurities will come out on the sides of the Kadai, take them out
Stir it continuously and now keep the flame low
Now check the consistency of the gud/jaggery, it is now a little bit thick
So pour the 250 gm chana/chickpea and continuously stir them.
Now it will be hard to stir, so you have to apply little force to stir, but you have to stir them continuously
Transfer the gud chana mixture to a big plate and allow them to dry fast, keeping them under the fan.
Now wait for two to three hours, and occasionally check them.
When they become dry, then take them out from that plate and transfer them to another plate to dry completely, spread black salt and peppercorn powder and mix them.
Now it is ready to eat or to preserve.
