How to make Gobindobhog chaler chicken pulao

Ingredients
- Chicken-750 gm
- Cardamom-4 green
- Green chillies-2
- 4 clove
- Gobindobhog rice-2 cup
- Ginger-2 inches
- Garlic-8-10 cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- Cinnamon, red chilli, turmeric and cumin powder- 1 tsp each
- Yogurt (curd)-1/ cup
- Cooking oil-1/2 cup
- Cow ghee-1 tsp
- 2 sliced onion
- Salt to taste
How to make Gobindobhog chaler chicken pulao
- First wash and marinate the chicken pieces with turmeric and red chili powder, salt and curd, keep it for hour at least
- In a big bowl wash the Gobindobhog rice and let it soak for an hour
- Now, heat oil in a hard bottomed pan on medium flame and add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon, then add sliced onions. Sauté those for 2 minutes or till onions turn soft and transparent.
- Now, add the marinated chicken and stir it for 2 minutes, then add cumin powder and cook it for 6-7 minutes or till the raw smell of the spices are go off and chicken becomes softer.
- Add rice and stir or mix it with chicken and the spices thoroughly
- Then add 4 cups of water, season with salt and allow the rice to cook for 5-6 minutes or comes to a boil, then turn off the flame and cover the for 15 minutes.
- Uncover the lid and sprinkle ghee, mix it well and serve hot with raita.
