How to Make Delicious Chicken Paratha
Today we will learn How to Make Delicious Chicken Paratha, which is very easy to prepare. I started my Paratha journey with vegetable Paratha. e.g. aloo (potato) Paratha, methi Paratha, or Broccoli roti/paratha; The procedure is the same, the only thing that you have to prepare is the chicken keema. You can prepare this with minced chicken fresh boneless chicken or frozen chicken breasts. The taste is such that you need nothing to eat with this, even a pickle or curd is not required.
The types of equipment used for this recipe are
- Mixing bowl
- Kadai/Fry pan
- Spatula
- Rolling board and rolling pin
INGREDIENTS:
For Chicken Stuffing:
- Chicken breast / boneless chicken-100 gms(or) Chicken Keema- 100 grams
- Oil- 2 teaspoons
- Onion, chopped-1
- Tomato (chopped)-1
- Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tbsp
- Chilli powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Green chilies, chopped- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves (chopped)-1 tbsp
- Salt- to taste
For Parathas:
- Wheat Flour- 1 cups
- Ajwain/carom seeds-1/2 tbsp
- All-purpose flour
- Salt- to taste
- Oil- 2 teaspoons
How to Make Delicious Chicken Paratha
Step 1: To make the dough
To make parathas, put the Whole wheat and all-purpose flour in a bowl
Add salt and carom seeds and mix well.
Then add the oil and mix them well so that they become very soft, and gradually add water to make a tight and pliable dough, Cover the dough and rest it for 20 min.
Step 2: To prepare the filling
We can prepare the filling before uncovering the dough
Heat oil in a pan add onion and a pinch of salt fry for 1 minute and then add chopped tomato, & Cook for thirty seconds
Then add the minced chicken and cook for 1 minute
Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute, Add minced chicken, turmeric powder, chili powder coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt; mix and cook well by constant stirring, for one minute in a high flame;
then cover them for 10 minutes in a low flame
Open the cover and once the mixture gets cooked add the chopped onion, green chili, and coriander leaves and switch off the gas.
Step 3: To make the Paratha
Divide the dough into 4-5 big lemon-sized balls, On a rolling board spread the ball into a small disc, Then Keep one of the chicken stuffing inside the disc gather the edges, and press well to seal well.
Now using the rolling pin flatten the balls dust them in flour and spread them into thick parathas.
Heat a pan sprinkle half a teaspoon of oil and cook both sides of the parathas till golden brown spots start to appear.
Same way fry all the parathas transfer them to a serving plate and serve with curd and pickle
