Ingredients
Raw papaya-1 small(cut into cube )
Boiled elephant yum-3/4th cup
Fried onion-1/2 cup (barista)
Prawn-8- 10 medium size
Green chili-02
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Grated ginger, garlic -1 tea spoon
Turmeric, cumin, and red chili powder- 1 /2 tsp each
Garam masala-1/4th tsp
Salt to taste
how to make chola diye pepe chingri
First clean and wash the prawns, marinate them with turmeric powder and salt, and keep it for 10 minutes.
Then take a hard-bottomed pan, heat oil and fry the prawns and keep it aside.
In the same oil put cumin seeds and green chili for tempering
As they splutter and sizzle add the papaya cut into cubes and cook for 3 minutes.
Then add the garlic, ginger (grated), followed by turmeric, red chili, and cumin powder, and cook for 2 minutes or till the raw smell goes off from the spices.
Add boiled elephant yum and whisk for 2-3 minutes.
After mixing properly, add the fried onions then add the soaked Bengal gram and whisk continuously.
Now pour ½ cup of water& salt and cover the lid for 3-4 minutes or till the papaya becomes soft.
Now uncover the lid and add the prawns and mix it properly.
Add garam masala and serve hot with steam rice.
