How to Make Afghani Paneer? Afghani Paneer recipe is very easy to make. For this recipe, you don’t require onions and tomatoes, and other hot spices. Only almonds and yogurt make the main base of the gravy. Afghani Paneer is the silky creamy gravy that is white in color. The main secret of this recipe lies in the marination. You divide the marination process into two parts. In the first part add only salt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, and peppercorn, and add other spices in the second marination. And this marination will make the gravy, no need to make the gravy separately. You can prepare Afghani chicken in the same way.

Ingredients required for Afghani Paneer
1st marination
- Fresh Paneer-200 gm
- Lemon-1
- Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
- Peppercorn powder-1/4 tbsp
- salt
2nd marination
- Curd-150 gm
- Cream-2 tbsp
- Soaked almond-10
- Onion -1
- Mint and coriander leaves
- Green chili-1
- Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
- Whole spices (whole spices(green cardamom-2, cloves-5, cinnamon stick-1 inch, bay leaves-2, and peppercorns-10)
- Kasuri methi-1 tbsp
- Garam masala-1/4 tbsp
- Chat masala-1/2 tbsp
- Cumin powder-1/2 tbsp
- Peppercorn powder-1/2 tbsp
- Butter-1 tbsp
- Oil-2 tbsp
- Salt to taste

How to Make Afghani Paneer
In a mixing bowl Take 200 gm paneer in cubic shape, and add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and salt
Add ¼ tbsp peppercorn powder
Squeeze one lemon over it, and keep it aside for 15 minutes to first marinate
Now in a blender jar, add mint and coriander leaves, soaked almond, onion, green chili, and ginger garlic paste.
Make a smooth paste
Take a large bowl, and add 150 gm curd
Add 2 tbsp cream
Then pour the paste from the blender jar
Add Kasuri methi, chat masala, peppercorn powder, cumin powder, salt, and garam masala
Mix well and add the paneer cubes and keep it for 1 hour to 2nd marinate.
After 1 hour, take out the paneer cubes from the marination and keep them separate to fry.
Heat 1.5 tbsp oil in a griddle
Place slowly the paneer cubes in the griddle and fry both sides till the color changes to light brown.
Now heat 1 tbsp butter and ½ tbsp oil in the same pan, and put all the whole spices in the pan.
Add the marination and stir them for 2-3 minutes
Add the fried paneer cubes and mix them well with the gravy and allow them to cook for 4-5 minutes
Turn off the flame and add chopped coriander leaves.
Now transfer them to a serving plate and serve with roti or paratha.
