Healthy Bajra Dalia /Pearl Millet Dalia Recipe / Diabetic Breakfast
Bajra is a millet that can be used in various ways like ambali, khichdi, Dalia, i. Pearl millet flour is also used to make roti, paratha, dosa, and idli.
It is readily available in Indian grocery stores or can be purchased online.
Adding the nutritious vegetables you like most can make the dalia healthier and tastier.

Ingredients
- Bajra/ pearl millet-1 cup/125 gm
- Red, green, and yellow capsicum (Chopped )-50gm each
- Carrot (Chopped)–75 gm
- Tomato (Chopped)–1
- Grated ginger-1/2 inch
- Chopped green chili-2
- Onion (Chopped)-1
- Red chili-1
- Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves (Chopped)—2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil-1 tbsp
How to Healthy Bajra Dalia /Pearl Millet Dalia Recipe / Diabetic Breakfast
Wash the bajra and keep them aside
Cut all the vegetables (carrot, onion, red, green, and yellow capsicum into small pieces)
Then cut the tomato, ginger, and green chili and keep ready to prepare
Heat oil in a pan and add red chili and mustard for tempering
As they splutter and sizzle add the chopped onion and sauté them till they become translucent
Now add the chopped carrots and stir them for 2 minutes
Add the soaked bajra/millet and stir them along with onion and carrot
Now add turmeric powder to give a bright color and sauté them till the raw smell goes off
Now add the different types of capsicum and stir them
Add tomato and salt, and stir them for 2 minutes
Now add 2 cups of water mix them and cover the lid and allow them to cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Open the cover and again mix them well
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Transfer them to a serving plate and serve hot
