In Bengal Chingri diye bandhacopi /prawn cabbage is a very famous and popular dish which is very tasty of course. So when I saw purple cabbage in the market then I thought why I can’t make an Exciting Recipe for Prawn Purple Cabbage.
Prawns can go well easily with any kind of vegetable. It has a wonderful flavor that boosts the flavor of any kind of recipe. In any vegetable dishes just add prawns, it will make an amazing recipe, like chingri lal Shaak, Lao Pepe chingri, Pui shaak diye chingri, kochu diye chingri. Today I will make purple cabbage prawns added with potato and fresh green peas.

Ingredients
Medium size prawns 10-12 pieces,/250 Gm
One medium-sized purple cabbage shredded
Potato 1 large, cut into cube
Fresh green peas-1/2 cup
Tomato 1 medium, chopped
Mustard Oil 4tbsp(2 tbsp for frying the prawns and the rest 2 tbsp for curry)
Panch foron- 1 teaspoon
Dry chili-2
Ginger & Garlic Paste 1 tbsp each
Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Red Chili powder as per taste
Garam masala powder 1/2 tbsp
Exciting Recipe of Prawn Purple Cabbage
Clean and wash the prawns, rub them with salt and turmeric powder, and cut the washed cabbage
Heat the mustard oil in a wok, when the oil gets smoky, then add the prawns, and fry them till they changed their color. Take them out of the pan and keep them on a plate.
Now take a frying pan, heat oil, throw some panchforon, and dry chili to temper.
As they splutter and sizzle add the potato cubes and fry them for 2-3 minutes then add ginger-garlic paste and cook it for 2 minutes.
Now add the shredded purple cabbage and just stir it for 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes, and green peas followed by all spices powder. e.g. turmeric, red chili, and cumin.
Mix well and cover the lid; allow it to cook for 10 minutes on low flame
After 10 minutes, open the lid and add prawns to the pan, mix well and cover the pan, for 2 -3 minutes or till the potatoes are completely cooked.
Now turn the heat on high flame and stir fry them for 2-3 minutes.
Take it out from the oven, transfer it to a serving plate, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
