Banana Stem Moong Dal Thoran / Narkel Mug dal diye Thor Recipe, is a very delectable and healthy side dish. This dish is loaded with protein and fiber. The ingredients required for this recipe are
- Banana stem/Thor-2 cup
- Moong dal (soaked for 4-5 hours)-1 cup
- Urad dal/ biuli dal-1 tbsp
- Whole red chili-3
- Curry leaves-2 sprigs
- Turmeric powder-½ tsp
- Red chili powder-½ tsp
- Coriander powder-½ tsp
- Grated coconut-1 cup
- Oil-2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
- Salt, to taste
How to make Banana Stem Moong Dal Thoran / Narkel Mug dal diye Thor Recipe
Wash and cut the banana stem into very small pieces, and put them in a pressure cooker
Add soaked moong dal to that cooker, add salt and water, and go for one whistle
Release the pressure and keep it aside
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, red chili, and curry leaves for tempering
Once they start spluttering, add the boiled dal and banana stems and mix them well
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder and stir them continuously till the raw smell goes off
Now add the grated coconut and mix them well
Add salt and sugar and stir them till the curry becomes dry
Turn off the heat, transfer them to a serving plate, and serve hot with rice
